Why I Created Deeply Rooted: Going Deeper Instead of Wider
My first offering as a full-time Afro-Dominican Spiritual Herbalist + Energy Worker: a 4-week root chakra immersion
For years, I've been teaching chakra work through my programs Healing Through the Chakras and Business Through the Chakras. I'm hella proud of this unique framework and the profound work I've witnessed in every person who connected with this medicine. That work was beautiful and necessary, and every time I taught it, I received medicine too.
I'll always be both teacher and student of this work, but as you can tell from my Root Chakra series, I've been called to go deeper instead of wider. This all started when I decided to focus on a chakra for the year through my vision board work. My root chakra year changed everything for me.
Through my years of teaching and my own continuous healing journey, I've realized something profound: the deeper I go, the more I realize how foundational the root chakra truly is. Every breakthrough I've had, every pattern I've shifted, every moment of deep transformation - it all traced back to feeling fundamentally safe and rooted first.
While comprehensive chakra work creates beautiful awareness, there's something uniquely powerful about diving deep into one chakra and really living with that energy for long periods of time. You notice the subtle patterns, the daily triggers, the way your factory settings show up in unexpected moments. You have time to not just understand concepts but to actually rewire your nervous system.
It's like the difference between visiting a country and actually living there - both change you, but one makes you fluent in ways that transforms everything.
Why Root Chakra Work Is Essential Right Now
We live in a culture obsessed with transcendence - with rising above our circumstances, bypassing the messy human stuff to get to the spiritual highs. But what if the medicine we need isn't about rising above? What if it's about going deeper into our roots?
Our communities have experienced collective trauma that lives in our bodies. The effects of racism, systemic oppression, poverty, and assimilation don't just stay in our minds - they become encoded in our DNA through epigenetics, passed down as nervous system responses that show up as root chakra imbalances.
When your ancestors survived by staying hypervigilant, when safety was never guaranteed, when you learned the world could be a nasty, cold place before you could even walk - your foundation develops survival strategies. These responses made perfect sense then, but they might be keeping you stuck now.
All the chaos and instability happening in the world right now is exactly when we need to remember how to root ourselves in something unshakeable.
You can't self-actualize from chronic unsafety. You can't manifest abundance when your nervous system expects scarcity. You can't trust your intuition when you don't trust your own body.
The work has to start at the root.
My Journey to becoming an Afro-Dominican Spiritual Herbalist + Energy Worker
I didn't plan this journey. I grew up Christian. I’m talking church 3x a week, youth choir, youth group lock ins, church camps, and church retreats. I was even a Sunday School for children 2-3 years old at one point! As I got older, my curiosity lead me from religion to spirituality. I started sharing my healing journey and experiences with things like cognitive behavioral therapy, spiritual readings and energy work on my social media platforms.
When I started my vision board workshops in 2017, I brought in Vida for psychic readings because I thought that would be an incredible experience for attendees. That workshop developed into an event series where I curated events rooted in spirituality + wellness.
In 2020, something shifted and I felt called to activate my own gifts and remembering. I became a Certified Intuitive, learned to read chakras, give energy readings, do healings, connect with spirit guides and access the Akashic records. When I deep-dived into the chakras, it felt like remembering medicine I'd worked with for lifetimes. I knew this wasn't casual interest - this was a tradition of knowledge that had selected me as its intermediary.
Then just like the chakras, the plants called me deeper. What started off as studying herbs for my botanica inspired haircare line, turned into the adventure of a lifetime. Little by little, I pivoted on my path and surrendered to their pull. I became a spiritual herbalist, honoring the generational healer in me, carrying forward my great-grandmother's folk healing legacy. She was a Dominican Curandera and intuitive who used her hands along with plant medicine to perform healings.
Recently, I became certified in Reiki 1 & 2 to create more structure in my healing work, bridging ancient Taíno and African healing traditions with Eastern energy practices. Every step on this path - guided by my teachers, spiritual guides, and higher self - has prepared me for this moment: the decision to fully step into my role as an Afro-Dominican Spiritual Herbalist + Energy Worker.
I'm done doing this “spiritual” work on the side. No more treating my calling like a side hustle while I run other spiritually adjacent businesses or maintain my marketing career. There is no Plan B, C, D, or E. This is my life's work, and I am fully committed to this path. It's gonna work because it's literally written in the stars! Jupiter expanding in Cancer in my house of career, confirming that nurturing others through ancestral healing wisdom isn't just what I do, it's who I am.
Why Deeply Rooted Had to Be Born
I'm no longer underestimating my capacity to guide others through healing work. Every wound I've tended, every pattern I've broken, every moment of fear I've transformed into trust - it's all medicine waiting to be shared and passed on.
After sharing my root chakra healing journey across three posts - from ancestral work with my father to reconnecting with Mother Earth to healing generational money patterns - I kept getting messages about same thing: "How do I do this work? Where do I start? Can you guide me through this?"
Deeply Rooted is my answer to those calls.
This isn't about quick fixes or spiritual bypassing. It's a 4-week intimate experience designed to help you build an unshakeable foundation in your root chakra. We'll work with reiki-infused spiritual herbal baths, practices that honor both your healing and your culture, astrology and the kind of witnessing that lets your nervous system finally exhale.
This is ancestral healing meets nervous system regulation meets plant medicine - all focused on helping you remember that you belong here, you're safe here, you're home.
When you're truly rooted, when you feel unshakably safe in your own body, when you're connected to something bigger than your individual fears - everything else becomes possible. Your relationships shift. Your money patterns transform. Your creative expression flows. Your intuition becomes unshakeable.
This is why we start at the root - because everything else depends on this foundation, especially manifestation and making your vision boards a reality.
You can't manifest what your nervous system can't hold. You can visualize abundance all day long, but if your body expects scarcity, if your root chakra believes safety is temporary, your manifestations will reflect that underlying instability.
Real manifestation happens when you're rooted in unshakable knowing that you deserve good things, that you can handle whatever comes, that you're supported by forces seen and unseen. When your foundation is solid, everything you call in has a place to land and grow and you can receive it with ease.
Ready to Go Deeper?
I'm ready to teach again, initiated by plant teachers and ancestral guides, ready to be a bridge between worlds of healing. These past years were my cocoon - studying herbalism, letting the land teach me, tending my own wounds, learning to trust my gifts. My inner butterfly has been enjoying her new wings and is finally ready to guide others. Not from a place of doing but from a place of being, not from ambition and ego but from authentic calling and embodied wisdom.
Deeply Rooted represents the first offering in this new chapter of my life as a full-time medicine woman. When you join this program, you're not just investing in your own transformation - you're supporting my ability to continue creating sacred spaces for remembering and to develop the deeper offerings I'm being called to birth. This is just the beginning of what we'll create together. I’m so honored and excited!
If you've been reading my root chakra series and feeling called, trust that knowing. If you're tired of surface-level healing and ready to do the deep work that shifts your life, this is your invitation.
Deeply Rooted begins July 16th with 12 women who are ready to commit to this transformational foundation work.
The magic begins the moment you say yes - not when the program starts, but when you make the decision to choose yourself and this remembering. That commitment energy starts working immediately, preparing your nervous system for the deep work ahead.
Feeling called to join?
This work asks for your full presence, trusting what you already know deep down. The healing our community needs doesn't happen by staying surface-level. It happens by going deeper into our roots and remembering the medicine that's been carried in our bloodlines. It happens by finally feeling safe enough to bloom.

It's time to stop building on shaky foundations. It's time to get deeply rooted.
